Max Stanonik

Max Stanonik, age 95 of Geneva, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Geneva Village Retirement Home. Born October 3, 1917 in Skofja Loka, Slovenia to Frances (Kosir) & Frank Stanonik, he married Frances Kaucic in Cleveland on June 20, 1959. An area resident since 1959 he worked as a grape farmer on his family farm in Harpersfield. He was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church in Geneva and the KSKJ Christ the King Lodge #226 in Cleveland. He is survived by his Brother, Joseph Stanonik of Slovenia and preceded in death by his Wife, Frances Stanonik, his Parents, 5 Brothers and 6 Sisters. Friends will be received: from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 West Main Street, Geneva with committal services to follow at Alexander Harper Cemetery in Unionville.
