Matthew Brian Kush

Matthew Brian Kush, age 41 of Geneva, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at UH Geauga Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born October 25, 1975 he was the son of Andy and Terri (Rodgers) Kush. He married Manda Hobson on April 4, 2009 at Stanton Park in Madison.
Matt was a 1994 graduate of Geneva High School. Always loyal to his family and friends, Matt had a gentle spirit and a special place in his heart for his son, Jaydin. He loved history, especially when it came to learning about the Civil War or his roots back in Pennsylvania. He was extremely talented and as a third generation Boilermaker he took great pride in his work.
Matt is survived by his wife: Manda; son: Jaydin; parents: Andy and Terri; brother: Christopher; many aunts and uncles along with a strong brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 744.
Family and friends will be received from 6-8pm on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway in Geneva. There will be an additional visitation from 10am to 12pm on Tuesday, September 12th at the funeral home with a service at 12:00 noon. Matt was a laid back guy so casual attire would be appreciated. Burial will take place at Cherry Tree Cemetery in Cherry Tree, PA.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Ashtabula County APL or a charity of ones choice.
