Mary Lou Hines, on her 85th birthday, passed away October 17, 2021 at UH Geneva Hospital. She was born October 17, 1936 in Boomer, WVa to Tyree and Jesse (Copenhaver) Flack. She married Harland “Wendell” Hines on October 23, 1954 in Jefferson. Mary Lou was a godly woman who enjoyed reading her Bible and praying over her family. She enjoyed singing old hymns. At age 16, she even sang hymns on Radio station WICA. She was a clerk at Lawson’s convenience store and Jefferson A&P. She was also a bank teller at Ameritrust Bank in Jefferson. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and traveling. Her greatest joy was having a house full of family including her grandkids and great-grandkids. Mary Lou was a faithful member of the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene and Hernando Church of the Nazarene in Hernando, Florida where she had served as church secretary for 13 years. Mary Lou leaves behind her husband, Harland “Wendell”; children, Brenda (Steve) Niro; Donna (Mike) Adams, Linda (Dave) Masirovits, Wally (Rose) Hines, Gary (Jennifer) Hines, Daniel (Kim) Hines and Mark (Sheri) Hines; siblings, Marian Sullivan, Ruth Reeve, Lenora (Art) Evans and Don (Donna) Flack; 28 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Connie Rink. Friends and Family will be received 2-4 pm, Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, 55 E Satin St, Jefferson, Ohio with a service immediately following at 4 pm at the church. Contributions may be made in Mary Lou’s name to Manna Pantry. At the request of the family please consider wearing bright colors to honor her.   7. Sorry I am unable to attend the funeral. I am having some procedures done on my legs and cannot travel right now. Mary Lou was such a sweet, wonderful Christian woman! My thoughts and prayers are with you all!
