Mary Lee Verdi

Mary Lee Verdi, age 76 of Geneva, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at UH Geneva Medical Center. She was born August 19, 1945 in Rock Lick, WV the daughter of the late Benjamin and Margaret (Vegh) Blethen. A 1964 Graduate of Ashtabula High School Mary would soon marry Phillip M. Verdi on June 4, 1966. She spent most of her career as a bank teller working for several local banks including Ameritrust in Ashtabula. Mary was very involved at Saybrook United Methodist Church where she participated in bible studies and vacation bible school. She loved all animals but was partial to her 3 dogs and her cat.  A kind and generous heart Mary was the rock of the family, always remaining positive no matter what life threw her way.  She was an avid Cleveland Browns fan with a fun sense of humor. She is survived by her daughter, Michele Verdi; her grandson, Daniel who was the joy of her life; and her sister Toni Leuch.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Phillip; and her sister Anna Blethen.
