Mary Jane G. Paquin, age 92, of Madison passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 13, 2023.  She was born on December 18, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph and Mary (McIntyre) Gallagher and graduated from Little Flower High School.   When not raising her family, she was employed at Bell Telephone, Hallmark and Higbees.  Mary Jane was a devoted wife, mother, and sister.  She was married to the love of her life, the late Joseph Paquin, for 60 years and together they raised six children.  She took great pride in her family and her children are grateful for the long life they were able to enjoy with her.  A devout Catholic, she regularly attended daily mass up until her death.  Her faith was an inspiration to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Throughout her life Mary Jane was involved in various community organizations, but especially enjoyed the Red Hat Society and the Christ Child Society.   In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Margaret (“Peggy”) Rothwell, and older sister, Ann (“Nancy”) Coyne.  Though separated by distance in later life, the Gallagher sisters were always together in spirit and in love.  Mary Jane is survived by her adoring children, Cynthia Phillips of Vicksburg, Michigan, Joseph (Betsy) of Evanston, Illinois, Mary Ann (Michael) Sinclair of Savannah, Georgia, T.J. (Suzanne) of Perry, Ohio, Shelly (Brad) Carlin of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and Mark (Kris) of Orange, California; 13 Grandchildren; and 6 Great-Grandchildren.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio.  Fr. Sean Donnelly will be officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Christ Child Society of the Western Reserve. 3. Cindy,
I am sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose a parent. I am praying for you and your family during this hard time.

  4. Dear friends,
I happened to read about the passing of your mother this morning. I remember being the Parochial Vicar at Immaculate Conception Church in the early 90s with your mom and dad with Fr Fagan. They were truly devoted to their faith and love for God; always attending the first Mass on Sunday mornings. Then your mom would go to work for Dillard’s (I. think!) for part of her day. She was a great lady and a good friend. She and your entire family are now in my daily prayers and Masses. May God’s peace bring you comfort in your time of mourning.

  5. Your mom was a sweetheart❤️ I recently polished her toes💅🏻 no doubt she is celebrating in heaven right now. She loved and always talked about her family and how blessed she was😀 peace be to her family.

  7. Sending our condolences and love to the Paquin family. May God give you comfort during this time and the days to come. Although I never met Mrs. Paquin I work with Joseph and he and his family spoke highly of Mrs. Paquin and her love for her family.

  8. We are so sorry about Mary Jane’s passing. She was an absolutely lovely lady in every way. Her religious devotion was very easily recognized in her friendly, caring, helpful way of life. We knew her for many years through her children, her husband, our church, and just being Madison residents. Prayers and condolences to her family.
