Mary Jane Fobell

Mary Jane Fobell, age 83, of Geneva, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at Geneva Shores. She was born January 18, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio. She married Carl J. Fobell at The United Church in Geneva, Ohio on August 8, 1953. Mary Jane was a graduate of Geneva High School and achieved an Associates Degree from Kent State University. Mary Jane was a homemaker and her greatest joy was caring for her family. “Just a little tribute to a lady in my life, she´s the one my brother, Carl, took as a loving wife. Remember that apartment on Cleveland´s near eastside? And that outrageous orange paint we really had to hide. So very early on you see her talents she displayed - filling every home they´ve had with charm and things she made. She´s someone you can count on, it´s either yes or a reluctant no. But when Atlantic City calls, you can be sure she´ll go! A stickler for propriety, but open to variety - like: antiques (not us), a game of bridge, building houses, family, pitching in, and entertaining with a Flair, Ah yes, we care! We all know her well, she´s Mary Jane Fobell.“ (Written by Ruth Fobell, January 1992) She is survived by her husband, Carl; sons, Randy (Annette) Fobell, Timothy (Diane) Fobell; grandchildren, Josh, Amy, Nick, and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Jaidyn, Kenton, Brendon, Sebastian, Easton, Nolan, Justus, Lance, Asher, Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her mother, Luella Myers; brother, Andrew “Andy” Myers; sisters, Clara “Tiny” Fenton, Rose Colucci, Virginia Maltby, Lelia Brott, Marion Redman.
