Mary Jane Avsec Age 82 Resident of Cardinal Woods for the past 5 years Her early life was spent in Fairport Harbor, until her family moved to Trumbull Township in 1942 Passed away Friday, October 31, 2008 after a short illness Born April 3, 1926 in Painesville, OHIO to Jennie (Zakrajsek) & John Avsec While living at Cardinal Woods she loved playing bingo, corresponding with friends and making necklaces. Her strong determination to accomplish simple tasks was an inspiration to many. Our special thanks was to the people who loved and cared for her, especially her dear friend and mentor, Margie Berkey of Austinburg, who helped her achieve her goals. Survived By: Brother John Avsec Jr. of Geneva Sister, Dorothy A. (Martin) Kerin of Geneva Nieces & Nephew Robert R. Ruck, Stanley Ruck, John Drew Avsec, Sheila Avsec, and Shelby Avsec Preceded in Death by: Father John Avsec Sr. in 1996 Mother Jennie Avsec in 1957 Sister Ann E. Ruck in 1988 Niece Evelyn M. Ruck in 1960 Friends will be received 9-10am Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at St. Patrick?s Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road, Thompson, Ohio. Rev. Paul F. Smith will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Painesville.
