Mary J Miklavcic

Mary J. Miklavcic, age 92 of Thompson, passed away Wednesday, February 05, 2014. Born November 10, 1921 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Antonia (Lovko) & John Svigel. She married Frank Miklavcic in Collinwood, OH on May 9, 1949. She was a 1939 graduate of Villa Angela High School and worked for Erie Railroad, Richmond Brothers, National City Bank and Montville Schools. Mary was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Thompson Garden Club, Geauga County Senior Center, Slovenian Club and the Thompson Art.Club. She enjoyed teaching Slovenian, making greeting cards, crocheting, knitting, water colors and oil painting. She is survived by her sons, Frank (Rosemary) Miklavcic of Franfort, KY, Robert Miklavcic of Lenox, John Miklavcic of Thompson; daughter, Mary Jo Miklavcic of Euclid; grandchildren, Greg, Laura, Ann Marie & Angela; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jo Svigel of Euclid, Jennie Kadis of Chesterland.. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Miklavcic in 1999; parents; brothers, John & Andrew Svigel; sister, Angela Svigel. Friends will be received from 3-7pm on Friday, February 7, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Sts. Robert & William Catholic Parish, 367 E. 260th Street, Euclid, OH 44132. Final resting place will be Maple Grove Cemetery, Thompson, Ohio.
