Mary H. Pirnat

Mary H. Pirnat, age 92, of Thompson, Ohio passed away Friday, March 03, 2017 at her home. She was born November 14, 1924 in Maynard, Ohio, the daughter of Karl and Mary (Yazbec) Sikole. She married Peter Paul Pirnat on September 23, 1948 in Virginia. Mary worked for Hubbell Industries for several years before she worked as a dietician at Shady Acres. She retired in 1996 from Blue Stone Perennials. Mary loved flowers and was an active member of the Thompson Garden Club. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Thompson and worked the voting polls for many years. She is survived by her sons, Peter, Joseph, Mark, and Karl (Diane) Pirnat; grandchildren, Stephen (Jennifer), Christopher Paul, and Karlie Pirnat; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Abby, Joseph, Claire and Drazen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter; granddaughter, Kristina Pirnat Stefanac; brothers, Charles, Frank, Joseph, John, and Tony Sikole; sister, Theresa Lippian; and her parents. Friends will be received 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 6, 2017 at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be at Fairview Memorial Park in Madison.
