Mary Cummings VanderKaay, Age 85, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009 Jefferson Health Care in Jefferson, Ohio. Born March 24, 1924 in Cleveland to Stella (Szwajkowska) & Leo Kowalski, whe married William Cummings in August of 1942. Mary worked in housekeeping at Lincoln Electric for 18 years. She was a model for Taxi Modeling Agency. Was a member of North Madison Church of Christ and the Happy Wanderers. Mary loved spending time with her family and grandkids and enjoyed hosting family parties. Mary was an outgoing person and loved to sing, dance and bowl. She is survived by Sons, Robert (Marlenia) Cummings of Madison & Chuck (Karen) Cummings of Colorado; Daughter, Fran (John) Pulford of Linesville, PA; 10 Grandchildren; 17 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Sisters, Jennie Sprafka of Painesville & Delores Taylor of Florida. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Daughter, Rose (Pete) Erich; Son, William Cummings, Jr.; Brother, Leo Kowalski; 1st Husband, William Cummings and 2nd Husband, George VanderKaay Friends will be received 2-5:00 pm Sunday, December 20, 2009 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Monday, December 21, 2009 at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be at Madison Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
