Mary Ann Cooke, age 83 of Madison, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Euclid. Born February 2, 1933 in Wickliffe she was the daughter of the late John and Eva (Kucwski) Sokolowski. She married Donald Cooke on July 30, 1955 in Wickliffe. Mary Ann worked for many years at Harvey Hubbell, Inc. in Madison and retired in the late 1980's. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following her Cleveland teams. She had a love of nature and enjoyed cooking for her family. She is survived by her daughters: Susan (Rhett Rhodehorst) Diaz of Painesville and Sandra (Ron) Ness of Geneva; son: Daniel Cooke of Madison; grandchildren: Lisa Icenhower and Jonathan Moore; great-granddaughter: Dixie; great-great-grandson: Gavin; sister: Lottie Eger; brother: John (Blondie) Sokolowski and her dog Scruffy. She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald; her parents; sisters: Jenny, Helen, and Francis; brothers: Vince, Felix, Walter, and Henry. Friends and family will be received from 5-8:00pm on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00am on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Mary Ann's name to the Lake County Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Boulevard, Building E., Mentor, OH 44060

  4. I have such fond memories of Aunt Mary Ann. I remember heading out to Madison as being such a treat. I know this is a tough time; you have my deepest sympathies. I'm very sorry I couldn't be at the services.
