Martha Louise Kiss, age 92 of Kirtland Hills, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Select Specialty Hospital of Cleveland. Born May 9, 1934 in Portage, PA she was the daughter of the late Robert Jr. and Julia (Rebovich) McNally. The Wife of the late Ernest J Kiss USNR Corpsman.
Martha loved being a mother and homemaker, She loved her community and was the President of The Mentor Women’s Club when they started The Broadmore School. She enjoyed teaching cooking in the 4-H Busy Bees. She and Ernest were involved with Scouting and enjoyed fishing and camping. Benefactors to the building of St Mary’s Mentor. An active participant with the Mission Circle and PTA at Mentor schools. She followed The 3 Little Ones to California in the 1980’s and enjoyed the desert life in the Coachella Valley and split their time between Ca. and Ohio. She enjoyed the church and history and traveled the Mission Trail in California. Her talents for cooking are memorable and was the first “Martha” of the genre serving gourmet meals and entertaining at her home throughout the 60’s-80’s. Through much prodding the children urged her to create her own cookbook which she did and is cherished for her eclectic taste.
She is survived by her children, Jonathan (dec.), Mary Jackson (Dale Wise), Francis Kiss, Kathryn Culver (Ray dec), and Paula Hoy (Wayne(favorite)). Her grandsons Alex (dec), Christopher, and Cary. She enjoyed helping Paula with her granddaughters Lauren and Emily grow into beautiful young women. She married Ernest in 1954 and was with him until his passing in 2009.
