So sorry for your loss
We met Mark at Metro in his hospital bed with his metal halo and we were showing newly injured persons all the equipment, water snow skis and other adaptive equipment, and Mark wanted nothing to do with it because “we was not going to use any of it! We stole Mark from rehab on night and took him out for messy chicken wings with his Quad hands and dropped him off back at the hospital after midnight and John got his chair out and Marks out of the trunk and said see you around and We all laughed so hard. Mark was out best man at our wedding, mark also would come to Lake hope and stay for a few days and we went in a Cessna 4 seater and mark sat in front and flew the plane, how much fun we had. Mark and John would fix chairs together over the years. Mark was more then a friend, he was our brother in crime! We Loved him, Mark is now free from his wheelchair and flying around Lake Hope. To his family. Thanks for The wonder person he was.

I met Mark a few short years ago while doing some repair work on his house and immediately recognized a kindred spirit as a thinker, tinkerer and collector of odd stuff. As that acquaintance developed into a friendship, I gained a deep, abiding respect and admiration for his determination and creativity in overcoming adversity and surmounting whatever obstacles life laid in his path. That admiration and respect extends also for his selfless devotion to helping his family and friends, and the care he took providing for his animal companions.
As we shared many of the same interests, I enjoyed his company and the sometimes spirited discussions we would have on a wide range of topics and will always remember his quirky sense of humor, deeply held convictions, and compassionate generosity in sharing his time, knowledge, and expertise helping others facing their own hurdles.
Please accept my sincerest sympathy and condolences in this time of grief.
