Marie E. Lightner

Marie E. Lightner, age 80, of N Perry OH, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Heather Hill Care Communities, in Chardon, OH. She was born on January 30, 1937 to Laura B. (Smith) and James Dewey Pettis. Marie married Vernon B. Lightner on April 19, 1957 in Tampa FL. Marie was a lifelong member and volunteer with the Salvation Army Church. She was a homemaker, raising 4 children. She truly enjoyed time spent with family especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Karla) Lightner, Sharon (Clyde) Blevins, Karen (Tim) Arp, Brian (Emily) Lightner; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchilden. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon of 58 years who passed away in March of 2016; parents and infant daughter, Wendy Lightner. Friends will be received from 2-4pm Saturday July 29, 2017 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 4pm.
