Marie E. Jerrell

Marie E. Jerrell, age 93, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 07, 2015 at Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing. She was born June 15, 1922 in Beach Springs, Virginia to Ethel (nee Fortner) and Elmer Alsup. Marie married Rhea S. Jerrell in Bell County, Kentucky on January 14, 1944. Marie was a Trimmer for Ohio Rubber for 36 years and retired in 1985. She enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting and sewing. She was an incredible wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and even a great-great-grandma. "Granny" will be missed. She is survived by her children, Douglas (Mary) Jerrell, Beulah Yeater, Dord (Diane) Jerrell, Janet (Bub) Woodworth; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Glessie Ely and Pauline Bricker; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Jerrell; many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rhea, of 64 years in 2008; her parents; brothers, J.C., Silias, and Dale Alsup; and sister, Mary Coffey. Friends will be received 5-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Funeral Home. Final Resting Place will be at Perry Cemetery in Perry, Ohio.
