Maria Welser

Maria Welser, age 74, of Austinburg, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born November 21, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Louis D. and Jean M. (Letorner) Rivera. On May 22, 1965, she married Paul Welser in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Maria is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Paul Welser; her son, Michael (Denise) Welser; her grandchildren, Mercedes (Stavros) Welser and Dalton Williams; and her brother, Frank (Ann) Rivera. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Williams; and her parents.
Maria loved spending time with her family. She had a passion for cooking, and was known for her famous Spanish rice and her tomato sauce. She was an avid collector of her department 56 Christmas Village and enjoyed cross stitching in her free time.
Private Family services will be observed on Tuesday October 26th and Maria’s final resting place will be Greenlawn Memory Gardens along side her daughter Melissa.
