Margaret Mikkila

Margaret L. Mikkila, age 88 of Geneva passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Rae Ann Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneva. Born on May 7, 1926 in Massilon, OH she was the daughter of the late Leda (nee Albrecht) & Chester Arthur Potts. She married E. William Mikkila in Lakewood in1947. Margaret entered the Army Nurse Cadet Corp during WWII and later went on to earn a Nursing degree from Fairview General Hospital Nursing School. She is survived by her daughters: June Mikkila of Tempe, AZ, Jean (Robert) Hall of Unionville, Janet (John) Jachna of Woodridge, IL; sons: John Mikkila of Hawaii , and Jim Mikkila of Saybrook; Nana to: Kelly (Steve) Linderman, Brian, Keith and Laura Mikkila, John and Andrew Jachna; Great Nana to Jacob and Maggie Linderman; sisters: Fran Fisher of Tempe, AZ, and Carol Dickey of Versailles, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. William Mikkila in 1982; her parents, and brother Chester V. Potts and sister Jean Gross A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
