Margaret Heckel Frink
June 10, 1934 ~ March 17, 2016
Margaret Heckel Frink passed away at home in Warren, Michigan on March 17, 2016 at the age of 81. Her husband Col. Robert Frink, and brothers Jacob and Peter Mavko predecease Margaret. Her sister Sally Klingbeil survives her.
Margaret is lovingly remembered by her children Robert Heckel, Laurie Heckel, John Heckel and his wife Nena, and Katherine Heckel Kayser and her husband Melek. She will be missed by grandchildren Theodore, Elizabeth, Audrey, Evelyn and John, Jr., and brother-in-law James D. Klingbeil, sister-in-law Dorothy Mavko, and stepdaughter Laura Frink.
Margaret was born in Madison, Ohio on June 10, 1934 to Jack and Mary Mavko. She graduated from Madison Memorial High School and went on to earn an RN from Huron Road Nursing School in Cleveland, Ohio, and a BA from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio. She raised her children in Warren, Ohio with husband Dr. Robert D. Heckel. She was a dedicated volunteer for various hospital charities including the St. Joseph Hospital Auxillary. Later in life she lived in Las Vegas with second husband Col. Robert Frink. Margaret worked as a nurse in Cleveland, as a patient advocate at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio and as a medical administrator in San Francisco, California.
The visitation will be held on Monday, March 21 at The Behm Family Funeral Home at 26 River Street in Madison, Ohio from 4:00 7:00 PM. Mass and burial will be held on Tuesday, March 22 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church in Madison, Ohio.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire family in your loss. Margaret will be remembered in our hearts and prayers. She was a wonderful lady who was always so welcoming to us when we visited her and Uncle Bob in Las Vegas. We were instant kindred spirits! Her warm smile, gentle eyes, and laugh will be remembered!
