Margaret Eleanor Hrkman

Margaret Eleanor Hrkman, age 88, passed away Wednesday, November 01, 2017 at Chardon Healthcare Center. Formerly of Cleveland, she was a long time resident of Austinburg. Born May 24, 1929 in Wuppertal, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anne (Kuhne) Egert. She married Daniel Hrkman in Lexington, KY on September 17, 1962. Margaret was trained as a designer and dress-maker in Cologne, Germany. Before moving to Cleveland, she lived in Timmins, Ontario and Lexington, KY where she established her own business as a dressmaker. Her love for textiles also included hat-making, knitting, and needlework. She was equally passionate about cooking and baking. She is survived by daughters, Susanne (Frank) Zehe, Danielle (Wim) van Heeckeren; sons, Peter Kosznruk, Michael Hrkman; grandchildren, Erin, Frankie, Zachery, Maria, Elinor, Sophia and Daniel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; her parents; and brother, Max Egert. A private family service will be observed. Final Resting Place will be at Mechanicsville Cemetery in Austinburg Township.
