Mamie L. Burkholder

Mamie L. Burkholder, age 81, of Perry, passed away May 1, 2008 at Lake East Hospital in Painesville. She was born February 11, 1927 in Painesville, Ohio to Gladys (Green) & George Saunders and married Frank Burkholder on 11/18/44 in Painesville. She enjoyed needlework, gardening, camping, and canoeing and was a former member of the Lake County Rod and Gun Club and Madhatters Canoe Club. She is survived by; Son, Frank.(Karen) Burkholder of Perry, OH; daughters, Frances Jean Gossett of Rome, Ruth Ann Burkholder of Cincinnati, and Cynthia (Steve) Simmons of Perry; 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren; brothers, Bert Saunders of Tenn., Ray Saunders of NJ and Donald Saunders of PA; sister, Mildred Schlauch of Perry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; daughter Carol Burkholder and grandson, Tulsa Stewart Friends will be received 7-9:00 PM Sunday, May 4, 2008, at the Behm Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio, Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 5, 2008, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison. Louis Tychonievich will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be at Northeast Leroy Cemetery.
