Madeline M. Speer

Madeline M. Speer, age 82, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Roaming Shores, OH passed away May 14, 2013 at Tidewell Hospice House in FL. She was born April 7, 1931 in Euclid, OH. Madeline was a very active member in the Catholic Church and part of the Altar & Rosary Society. Along with being an avid gardener, she also enjoyed reading, boating, and interior decorating. She is survived by her husband, John Speer; children, James (Susan) Aitken, Suzanne (Shawn) Shannon, Thomas (Donna) Aitken, Mary Beth (Michael) Adams, Madeline Lee, Catherine (Ian) Westcott; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband David Aitken; sister, Mary Beuhner; brothers, Ted & Joe Owen and son-in-law, Bobby Lee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 3049 State Route 45, Rock Creek, OH 44084. Fr. G. David Weikart will be officiating. Funeral Service Final Resting Place will be Trumbull Township Cemetery in Rock Creek. Arrangements are being handled by The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041.
