Lynn Irene Cox, age 76, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018, at her home. She was born December 19, 1941, in Geneva, Ohio, the daughter of Ada Irene (Smith) and Bruce C. Gardner. She was married to Lynn T. Cox for 52 years. Lynn was a lifelong student of the simple and beautiful gifts the world offers all of us. She enjoyed art and literature and cinema; gardens and flowers and wild birds; and of course any challenging sudoku or crossword. We remember her as a fiercely independent and forward thinking woman, putting herself through college to become one of the top CPAs in the state at graduation. She was a unique mix of traditional values and an open-minded world curiosity that she passed on to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Lynn; daughters Meredith Gompertz, Nadine Cox; son, Matthew Cox; Daughters in law Kimberly Stercula, Karisha Chatterjee-Cox, grandchildren, Kyle Gompertz, Jennifer Gompertz, Schuyler Chatterjee-Cox; and great-grandchild, Elsie Lynn Steinwender.
