Lynn Alan Mitchell

Lynn Alan Mitchell, age 69 of Perry, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 20, 1953 in Ashtabula the son of Bill and Carolyn (Smith) Mitchell. Lynn was a founding member of the RediGo Food Mart in Painesville, a successful family business he proudly owned for over 40 years.  He was an avid golfer, fisherman and devout Cleveland sports fan.  He was a passionate Browns Backer and held season tickets for many years. Lynn also took great pride in his meticulously landscaped yard. Lynn is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Vonda; his children, Amber (Chris) McCourt and Scott (Amanda) Mitchell; grandchildren, Sydney, Shane, Brianna, and Brady; his father, Bill Mitchell; mother-in-law, Martha Potter; brothers and sisters in-law, Les (Connie) Mitchell, Larry Mitchell, Cheryl (James) Cunningham, Caryn Mitchell, Patricia (Dale) Protzman, Larry Potter, Ron Potter and Phillip (Emily) Potter along with his beloved dog Bruno.  He was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn (Smith) Mitchell and father-in-law, Elmer Potter. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00pm on Friday, March 24, 2023 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison.  Funeral Service will take place at 10:00am on Saturday, March 25^th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Lynn’s name to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
