Luella Jane Avellone

Luella Jane Avellone, age 88, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at home. She was born December 11, 1926 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to Myrtle (Brague) and Guy V. Edington. Luella married Ross D. Avellone in Berea, Ohio on May 13, 1950. Luella received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baldwin Wallace College in 1948 and was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She faithfully attended Park United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ross; children, Roslyn (the late William) Salchow of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Guy Timothy (Linda) Avellone of Zachary, Louisiana; grandchildren, Emily (Jason) Romans of Milwaukee, Ross (Marie Mikolainis) Salchow of Milwaukee, Guy Alexander Avellone of Baton Rouge, and Leah Avellone of Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Guy Ellis Edington. Friends will be received 2 – 3:30 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2015 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH with a Memorial Service following at 3:30 p.m. Rev. Troy Elam will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, Luella's family suggests a contribution to a charity of one's choice.
