Lucille M Hobson

Lucille M. (Starkey) Hobson, Age 90, of Madison, OH, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at University Hospital in Cleveland. Born on May 28, 1921 in Geneva to Florence (Tanner) & Ben Starkey The first of 6 girls, Lucille graduated from Geneva High School in 1938. On December 13, 1942 she married the love of her life, Percy. After Percy returned from the war, they moved from Geneva to Painesville where they raised their 2 children. Lucille was a homemaker until her husband's passing in 1964 when she went to work at the May Company and later, Staley Manufactory. She then went to work for the News Herald until her retirement in 1988. Lucille enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, and being a grandmother. She was a special woman who was greatly loved by all. Survived by Daughter,Judith (George) Fuller of Geneva; Son, James (Lori) Hobson of Painesville; Grandchildren, Dawn (Darrell) Long of Geneva, Jay (Karen) Davis of Madison, JoEllen (Tim) Clark of Madison, Brooke Hobson of Perry, Todd (Julie) Fuller of Geneva; Great-grandchildren, Jourdan, Dante, Danny, TJ, Daniel, Heather, Nick, and Trevor; Sister, June Long of S. Plainfield, NJ; Special Niece, Andrea (Roger) Roberts and children, Keenan and Kevin; Several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sisters; Marilyn, Arlene, Marge, and Nadine The family wishes to thank all of the doctors and staff at University Hospitals in Geneva and Cleveland for their outstanding care for Lucille. Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St, Madison, OH 44057. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
