Louis Von Hof

Louis Charles (“Chuck”) Von Hof, age 94 of Perry, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026 at Carrington Park Nursing Home. He was born on September 11, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Louis and Elizabeth (Flynn) Von Hof.

Chuck was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many people. He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Mary Magdelene parish for many years until moving to Perry and joining St. Cyprian parish. Chuck committed his time and expertise to many worthy causes. He volunteered for bingo at Lake Catholic and the Wickliffe Senior Center. He was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary Magdelane and St. Cyprian and was a trusted advisor on maintenance matters at both St. Stevens Church in Wickliffe, Ohio, and his current parish, St. Cyprian. Chuck worked in the HVAC industry for much of his career as well as working in sheet metal fabrication. He and his wife Natalie enjoyed golfing together, visiting many casinos while camping, and traveling wherever an airplane or their camper would take them.

Chuck is survived by his sister Katie Swaney, his children, Dennis (Francis) Von Hof, Laura Graef, Mary (Michael deceased) Lane and Joseph (Cari deceased) Von Hof; 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John Joseph Von Hof and William James Von Hof, sisters Anne Heinemeyer, Marie Petry, Helen Rhea, Elizabeth Louise Dippo, his loving wife of 73 years, Natalie (Barber) Von Hof; son, Chuck (Donna) Von Hof, daughter Lynn (Dave) Roberti, and daughter Donna (Brian) Wright

Friends will be received on Monday, July 27th at 10:00 am at St. Cyprian Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road, Perry, Ohio 44081, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with a burial to follow at Perry Township Cemetery.
