Lorene Peltoma

Lorene E. Peltoma, age 93, of Geneva, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at UH Geneva Medical Center. Born October 30, 1919 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of Alice (Walker) & Edward F. Distler. She married William Peltoma in Perry on April 19, 1941. Mrs.Peltoma enjoyed knitting, gardening, crossword puzzles and she was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Fairport Harbor where she was a Sunday school teacher. She also was active Cub Scouts as a den mother for many years and was a member of the Disabled Veterans Auxiliary. She is survived by 2 sons, Thomas (Sandra) Peltoma of San Angelo, TX and Ned (Mary) Peltoma of Geneva; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchild. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William; son and daughter-in-law Ronald and Peggy. Friends will be received from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Hannu Vepsäläinen of Zion Lutheran Church in Fairport Harbor officiating. Burial will be at North Madison Cemetery in Madison.
