Lorene Hudson

Lorene Hudson, age 75, of Geneva, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at Jefferson Health Care. Born April 13, 1938 in Wilksville, OH, she was the daughter of Ruth (Rowsey) & Ernest Chittum. She married James A. Hudson, Sr., in Holly Springs, MS on March 2, 1958. Lorene previously was the Assistant Activities Director at Lakeland Nursing Home. She was a 1957 graduate of Virginia Beach High School and was a member of the United Church in Geneva. She loved bowling at Sonny Lanes in Geneva and swimming at the East End YMCA in Madison. She spent some time as a volunteer for Hospice of the Western Reserve. Lorene also loved to make people laugh and after she attended professional clown school she performed in many venues including the Geneva Grape Jamboree. She is survived by her son, James (Laura) A. Hudson, Jr. of Ashtabula, OH; daughter, Terri Lynn (Andy) Parma of Jefferson; 4 grandchildren: Andrea, Andrew, Christopher, and Makenna; great granddaughters: Arieana and Makenzie; sisters, Betty Brewer of TN, Mildred Southerland of FL; brother, Roy Chittum of TN and best friend, Betty Austin of Geneva. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Warren Chittum. Friends will be received 6:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 27th at the funeral home. Final resting place will be Alexander Harper Memorial Cemetery in Unionville.
