Lois M. Braun

Lois Marie Braun, age 81, Geneva died Monday, May 19, 2008 at Geneva Village Retirement Community, Geneva. Mrs. Braun was born May 16, 1927 in Cleveland, OH the daughter of the late Paul and the late Nelda (Werner) Reik. Mrs. Braun retired from the Geneva Board of Education where she was secretary at Geneva High School. She had also worked for Judge Howard Warner at Western County Court. She was a 1945 Graduate of James Ford Rhodes High School and a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College. Mrs. Braun was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was organist and pianist. She enjoyed watching "I Love Lucy", spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and hosting family gatherings at her home. She is survived by four daughters: Cynthia (Thomas) Neuman, Sylvia Shymske and Brenda (Raul) Santana, all of Geneva, OHIO, and Linda (George) Swain of Thornton, CO; one son, Douglas (Laurie) Braun of Geneva, OHIO; 15 grandchildren, Lisa (Nick) Goad, Julie Neuman, Kristen (Tom) O'Connell, Scott, Ryan and Megan Neuman, Donald (Angela) Shymske, Steven (Tami Davis) Shymsky, Stephanie Shymske, Raul and Yakira Santana, Erik and Kyle Braun and Samantha and Jack Swain; 2 Great Grandchiidren, Donald Shymske and Kylie O'Connell and one sister, Phyllis Schoch of Cleveland Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, OHIO. The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 811 South Broadway, Geneva with Rev. Jonathan Schroeder of St. John's officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva. Memorial contributions may be made to St, John's Lutheran Church Building Fund, 811 S, Broadway, Geneva, Ohio.
