Lois Janet Nedro O'Neil

Lois Janet Nedro O'Neil, age 85, of Geneva, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at Geneva Village Retirement Community. Born July 23, 1928 in Geneva, she was the daughter of Alton Emmanuel Nedro and Frances Sidney Pettit. On March 17, 1951 she married James Carlyle O'Neil in Craven County, North Carolina. A graduate of Geneva High School, Lois attended Ohio Northern University. She had the opportunity to live in many places locally including Chardon, Willoughby, and Geneva, as well as Aida and Dayton, Ohio; St Joseph, Missouri, and Dow, Illinois. Lois belonged to the Friends of Arcola Creek and she enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening and was a world traveler. She was active in the Geneva Senior Center. Lois is survived by her sister, Carole Marie Ebs of Mt Sterling, KY, and seven nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Catherine Austin and her brother Lawrence Nedro. Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00am on Saturday August 24, 2013 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway in Geneva. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Shirley Stoops-Frantz of Harpersfield United Methodist Church officiating.
