Lois Bush

Funeral services for Lois Bush, 82, of Madison, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Chapel United Methodist Church, 2019 Hubbard Road, Madison. Mrs. Bush passed away Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township. Born April 18, 1930, to Pearl (Votaw) and O. Lawrence Fittro, she married O. Kenneth Bush Jr. in Warren on March 28, 1952. Lois was Volunteer of the Year for the Madison School District in 2008. She sang with the Covered Bridge Chapter of the Sweet Adelines. She was a member of the Home Crafters of Madison and Chapel United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. Lois was a member of Curves in Madison and a Friend of Madison Public Library. She truly loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Mrs. Bush had a passion for teaching and had been a second and third grade teacher at North Madison Elementary School. Lois is survived by her daughters, Judy (Bill) Uehlinger of Geneva, Theresa "Trixie" (Wayne) Palm and Sandy Bush, both of Madison; sons, O.K. "Bud" Bush III and Larry (Pam) Bush, both of Madison; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn Fittro of Henderson, Nev.; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Fittro of Asheville, N.C. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Raymond Fittro. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison. Final resting place will be at Madison Memorial Cemetery.
