Linda Hill Meares

Linda Hill Meares, 75, of Eastlake, OH, passed away peacefully at the home of her oldest daughter on December 18, 2018. She was born December 9, 1943 in Cleveland, OH to George B. and Ruby (Morris) Hill. Linda is survived by daughters, Kimberley Pafford of Madison, OH and Deborah (Wayne) Puckett of Tuscaloosa, AL. Nephew Blake Richards (his children Chelsey and Chad) and niece Susan (Jim Yeisley) Richards (her children Zak and Maggie). She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Betty (Ray) Richards. Linda worked as an executive secretary for many years for both Rockwell Automation and Steris Corporation (where she retired). She enjoyed working and supporting her work families. They were an extension of her family and they knew how much she cared about them, as many often called her “mom”. Linda had a love for animals and playing in her garden. She spent time decorating her yard for the wildlife and enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels play. Her beloved dog, Domino, also enjoyed this time with her. Most of all, she was a loving mother and friend that will be dearly missed. Her family will be honoring her with private services. In remembrance of our mother and friend, donations to The American Cancer Society would be deeply appreciated, in lieu of flowers.
