Lillian Swank

Lillian White Swank, age 85, of Harpersfield Township, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 2, 1927 in Mentor to Lillian (Eichorn) & Thomas White and married Chester Swank in Chardon, Ohio on December 27, 1958. Lillian was the Owner/Operator of Spring Hill Farm Market and formerly worked as an Ohio State Extension Agent. She was a 1945 Graduate of Chardon High School and earned a BS in Home Economics from The Ohio State University. Lillian was member of Geneva First United Methodist Church. She served as a 4-H leader in Virginia and Ohio and was a master seamstress. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, bird watching and spending time and helping the staff @ The Winery at Spring Hill. She is survived by her son, Thomas E. (Hope) Swank of Harpersfield; daughter, Cindy Swank (Pete) Cole of Harpersfield, stepdaughters, Roberta Thompson of Lakewood;& Kathy (Dan) Corey of Westerville; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Swank and her parents. Friends will be received 2-5 PM Sunday, May 19, 2013, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, May 20, 2013 at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be at Alexander Harper Cemetery in Unionville.
