Leta L. Griffes

Leta L. Griffes, age 90, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 at TriPoint Medical Center. She was born January 7, 1925 in Painesville, OH to Myrtle M. (St. John) and Milford A. Scott. Leta married Milton W. Griffes on August 20, 1988. Leta graduated from Madison Memorial High School and from the Fairview Park Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland. She was an office nurse for several doctors in Madison, Geneva and Saybrook. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Madison. She is survived by her niece, Karen Rogers; great nephews and niece, Jeremy (Heather) Rogers, Gregory (Elizabeth) Rogers, and Amy (Scott) Cameron; step-daughter, Eunice (Bob) Rook of Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and brother, Harry A. Scott; nephews, Arthur and Dale Scott; nephew-in-law, Henry G. Rogers. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Bible Baptist Church, 5819 West Chapel Road, Madison. Pastor Mike Edwards will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be Fairview Cemetery, Madison, Ohio. Contributions can be made to Bible Baptist Church, 5819 West Chapel Road, Madison.
