Leonard William Cybulski

leonard cybulski

September 10, 1973 ~ August 8, 2026

Resided in: Geneva, OH

Leonard William Cybulski, a longtime Geneva resident, was born September 10, 1973, passed away peacefully with his wife and brother by his side on August 8, 2026. He was preceded in death by his sister, Florence.

Lenny lived a fun life and was a big kid at heart. His home was always filled with music, and he loved his toys; from his Harley to his Jeep, his jet skis and more. He was a very creative person and enjoyed woodworking, and loved time spent in his garage working on his latest project.

Lenny’s greatest accomplishment was choosing sobriety. Once he committed himself to a sober life, everything changed. Sobriety allowed him to live a meaningful life and taught him that every sober day is a brave day. That courage carried him through his battle with cancer and allowed him to experience more, love more, and become the person he wanted to be.

Lenny was a devoted husband to his wife and adored their dogs. He loved his family and often spoke about how fortunate he was to have been born into it. He had a gift for making others feel like family, so if he ever bought you a drink, gave you candy, or teased you, rest assured he cared about you. If you gained the nickname scumbag, you were probably in his inner circle.

Lenny is survived by his wife, Sybil Cybulski; parents Terese and William Cybulski; sisters Eileen (Jerry) Seames and Sue Azzarello; brother Joseph (Beth) Cybulski; nieces and nephews Elisha (Steve) Carlton, Kevin (Stephanie) Beduhn, Lynne Azzarello, Lucille Azzarello, Rebecca Cybulski, Sarah Cybulski, and John Cybulski; grandnephew and grandnieces Logan Beduhn, Emma Beduhn, and Olivia Carlton; and his beloved dogs, Evie “Grace” and Oliver “Boo” Dog.

Friends and family will be received from 1-5 pm on Sunday, August 16th at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison with a Funeral Service to take place at 5 pm at the funeral home. Online obituary and condolences may be viewed at www.behmfuneral.com

Guestbook

  1. You will missed by many people Lenny you were fun to be around! You were always so happy 😀 and hopefully until we meet again my friend fly high❤️

  2. My heart is heavy knowing that such a dear friend is no longer here, some people come into our lives and leave a mark that time can never erase. I will always be grateful for the conversations, the laughter and the funny sense of humor that you carried. It’s hard to say goodbye to someone who meant so much to everyone around them. I know you’ll be missed by all. Until we meet again my dear friend, fly high and rest peacefully you will never be forgotten.

  3. Lenny was really one in a million. He will be remembered for his funny nature and love of life. We will always miss him and his pop in visits. Just because we moved from the neighborhood didn’t mean we left Lenny and his family behind. Our sons, Ryan and Cory, with Lenny were truly the three musketeers of Old Orchard Dr. We will not recount their escapades here. But, if you knew Lenny you can well imagine. Our hearts are broken. 💔

  4. Rest in peace my friend, it is a pleasure to have known you, your going to be missed by so many people. 😞🙏

  5. When I was working at Winking Lizard and was pregnant, Lenny brought me the sweetest baby basket. There were clothes, diapers, wipes, and a pink giraffe. Ten years later and my daughter still carries Johnny the giraffe everywhere with her. Although I was intimated by his larger than life personality and “insults” at first, I later realized that that’s how you knew he had respect for you. He was so helpful in hard situations and really did care for everyone beneath that rough exterior. I will always remember him for the sweet person he was and his outstanding sense of humor. He will be missed!

  6. Sybil and Family,
I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending lots of love your way- I know Lenny was dearly loved and will be missed by many. ❤️
