Leonard S. Sherer

Leonard S. Sherer age 82 a resident of Leroy Township, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 22, 2007 at his home. Born June 11, 1924 in Auburn Corners, Ohio to Victoria (Pawlowski) & Stanley Sherer Married the late Charlotte Rosemary (Cox) on 2/23/1950 at St Patrick?s in Thompson. Worked for 41 years for Ohio Rubber as a supervisor & plant manager. Leonard served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S Heywood L. Edwards DD663 during WWII. Member of VFW Post 2595 of Painesville & Member of NRA. Leonard loved farming and hunting. He is survived by his son Leonard (Mary Lou) Sherer of Leroy; Grandchildren Pete & Ami Sherer; Kristin Carney & Matthew Keres; Kenneth Marthe, Steven & Brian Frank; Great Grandchildren Vicki & Karlee Stevens; Alaynah & Hannah Carney; Joshua & Jared Marthe; Jeremy Frank; Kiah, Summer & Julianna Frank and Great Nephews Ronnie & Robert Nuttall. He was preceded in death by His wife of 56 years, Charlotte in February, 2006; Daughter, Leona; Grandson Chris and His Parents. Friends will be received 2-4:00 pm Saturday, February 24, 2007 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057 Funeral Service will be 4:00 pm Saturday, February 24, 2007 at The Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057 Rev. Harley Wheeler of Thompson United Methodist Church will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be at N. E Leroy Cemetery.
