Leland J. Carter

Leland ?Lee? Carter, Age 61, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away Friday, October 1, 2010 at his home. Born October 16,1947 in Geneva to Alice (Trask) Carter Cribbs & Eugene Carter, he married Betty E. Vereno Tackett in Ashtabula, Ohio on May 18, 1979. Lee was a Foreman at Molded Fiber Glass where he worked for over 25 years. A Vietnam Veteran, Lee was an active member of American Legion Post 103 in Ashtabula. Lee was an avid camper and was a member of Holiday Camplands for 20 years. He loved baseball, fishing, and hunting. He is survived by Wife, Betty E. Carter of Ashtabula; Sons, Roger (Nancy) Tackett of Ashtabula, OH, Larry (Paula) Tackett of Ashtabula, OH, Randy (Joni) Tackett of Kingsville, OH, Eugene (Kim) Carter, Leland Jr.; Daughters, Petha (Glen) Wiser, Deidra Wadsworth, Virginia (Chris) Forbes, Cathy (Larry) Mattis; Brother, Ron (Virginia) Carter of South Carolina; Sister, Bertha Carter of Columbus, Ohio; 28 Grandchildren & 18 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Behm Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, OHIO Graveside Service will be 11:00am on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in North Kingsville
