Lee Warren
March 4, 1943 ~ July 22, 2016
Lee Warren, age 73, of Madison, passed away while surrounded by loved ones on Friday, July 22, 2016, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born on March 4, 1943, the son of Curt and Elizabeth (Jackson) Warren and married his high school sweetheart, Jan Bernard, on November 28, 1964, in Madison.
Lee was a quiet, humble, gentle man who was deeply devoted to his family. As a 1961 graduate of Madison High School, he was active in sports, a passion he continued as a strong supporter of Madison Athletics. He was a fixture at football, basketball, and softball games throughout the years. He truly enjoyed following his boys and his grandchildren as they grew up as Blue Streaks. He worked for over 20 years as a Research Development Technician for Avery Dennison and was also active in real estate. He enjoyed classic cars, tractors, and loved the outdoors. He was a leader, exemplified by his strong work ethic and random acts of kindness, always putting others first.
Lee is survived by his wife, Jan Warren; sons, Michael (Trista) Warren and Curt (Melanie) Warren; grandchildren Dilan, Autumn, Isaac, and Benjamin; sisters: Ruth Kuhn and Shirley (George) Scott; sisters-in-law: Beverly Becker and Bonnie Warren; and mother-in-law, Hazel Bernard. Lee was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Charles Becker and John Warren.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8:00pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio 44057. Memorial Service for Lee will be celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday, July 28th at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in Lee's name to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44110 or the Madison Food Center, 1954 Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio 44057. Friends may leave condolences online at www.behmfuneral.com
