Lawrence Duncan Nellis

Lawrence Duncan Nellis, age 70, of Thompson, Ohio was with his family when he passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015. The son of Edith (Wood) and Harry Nellis, he was born April 20, 1945 in Painesville. Larry married Valerie Williams in January of 1973. He retired from GE in 2005. Larry always enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son, and doing everything else for his daughter. He treasured spending precious time with his grandchildren. Larry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Valerie; daughter, Michelle (Jesse) Jokinen of Montville; sons, Jamie (Suzzanne) Nellis of N. Kingsville, Harry Nellis of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Seth, Bailey, Dalton and step-granddaughter, Mercedes Burns. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Dustin. Friends will be received Friday, August 28, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson.
