Lawrence “Larry” Markgraf, age 87, of Madison, Ohio, passed away November 6, 2024. He was born September 10, 1937, in Cleveland, OH, to Jean (Campbell) and Lawrence T. Markgraf. Larry married Jeannine Ruble in Madison, Ohio, March 27, 1982.

Larry enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles (which evolved into a “trike”), and playing the keyboard and accordian. He was an Army veteran and an electrical engineer. He was a fixer, visualizing and inventing things that would be helpful to others.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Jeannine; his children, Michael Markgraf, Sr., Kyle Markgraf, Michelle Horvath, Janelle (Dawn) Markgraf, Carolyn (Emily) Hartsell; grandchildren, Michael Jr., Mitchell Markgraf, Jeffrey Jr., Jacob Markgraf, Kayli, Joe, Brandon Mihalick, Jackson and Savannah Branch; great grandchildren, Kinley and Natalee; sister, Jeanne Webb; daughter-in-law, Valerie Markgraf; sisters-in-law, Grace Markgraf, Merry (Dan) Callahan;. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Markgraf, Sr.; parents, Jean and Lawrence; brother, Dennis Markgraf, Sr.

Friends will be received 3:00 PM- 7:00 PM, Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison Ohio. Funeral Service will be Friday, November 15, 2024, 11:00 AM, at Thompson Church On The Square, 6758 Madison Road, Thompson, Ohio, with Pastor Mathew Skelton officiating. Final Resting Place will be Madison Memorial Cemetery on Arcola Road.

Family suggests contributions may be made in Larry’s name to Thompson Church On The Square.
