Larry Bittner, age 76, of Madison, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born September 21, 1947 in Logan, Ohio the son of Homer and Genevieve (Smart) Bittner. A 1965 graduate of Eastlake North High School, he married Judy Elaine McCarty on July 19, 1969 in Colorado Springs, CO. Larry proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked for many years as an electrician for CEI and after retirement, he delivered parts for NAPA Auto Parts.  Larry was an avid model train collector and was passionate about classic cars. He also enjoyed spending time with his breakfast club and his good friend Tom Roposh. He is survived by his son, Brian (Angela) Bittner; daughters, Denice (Larry Blanton) Anderson, Donna (Joey Pugh) Burdecki, Wendy (Scott) Carley; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Ruth) Bittner, Mike (Bonny) Bittner and Tim (Pam) Bittner; sister, Pam (Scott) Morrow. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; and his parents. Friends will be received 2-4 pm, Thursday, December 14, 2023  at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following at 4 pm at the funeral home with military honors.
