Kenneth Ray Smith

Kenneth Ray Smith, age 74, of Madison passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Cardinal Woods Nursing & Rehab in Madison. He was born April 30, 1939 in Minford, OH to Lola (Stewart) and Lonnie Smith. Kenneth married his loving wife of 48 years, Mildred (Weaver) April 16, 1965 in Lucasville, OH. Kenneth graduated from Minford High School in 1958. He was a janitor at Twin Rivers Technology for 38 years, retiring in 2005. Ken enjoyed drawing, woodcarving and was a Star Trek fan. He was a member of Peoples Church of Geneva. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Smith; son, Kenneth R. Smith II of Madison; grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas; sister, Doris (Clyde) Hess of Madison and brother, Louis (Rose) Smith of Rock Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Agnes Gill and a brother, Robert Smith. Friends will be received 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27th at People's Church, 300 South Ridge East, Geneva, OH 44041 with Rev. Alexander Zell of Peoples Church, officiating. Final Resting Place will be Madison Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
