Kayleigh Taylor O'Brien, age 19, of Perry, Ohio, beloved to many family and friends, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. She was born on March 3, 1998 in Cleveland Ohio, the daughter of Tracy Lee O'Brien and Michael Thomas O'Brien. Kayleigh was a 2016 graduate of Perry Ohio School, and was just finishing her first year at Lakeland Community College. She worked at Bob Evans in Mentor. Kayleigh had many interests. She was on the Track Team at Perry. She met and became inseparable best friends with Myka Gray, who was her Orientation Leader when she moved to Perry. Kayleigh was a hilarious young lady, always making others laugh and quick to laugh herself. She was always smiling and loved life. She was the light that held everyone together. She enjoyed attending church at St. Cyprian's Catholic Church in Perry. She liked spending time at the beach, had a passion for kids and was a natural born babysitter. Kayleigh was the first person to greet others with a smile, ready to help anyone and did not know a stranger. She was especially a great comfort and friend to her grandfather, Dominic, while he cared for, his wife and her grandmother, Emily who resides in a nursing home. Kayleigh is survived by her mother, Tracy (Tom Fistek) O'Brien; father, Michael (Barb Davis) O'Brien; brothers, Jason (Brandy) Matthew O'Brien, Jonathan (Brittney) O'Brien, and Michael Davis; sisters, Morgan Williams and Brittany Fistek; grandparents, Jerome and Mary Frank, Dominic and Emily Capretta, and Thomas and Loyola O'Brien; aunts and uncles, Paula (John) Tomanovich, Derek (Jenny) Capretta, David (Tracy Lynn) Frank, Daniel (Stacey) O'Brien, Catherine (Bob) Jarzenski, Mary (Bobby) O'Brien-Gerred, Michael Frank, Amy (Michael) Noble; nieces and nephews, Gracey, Bella, Bentley, Paige, Johnathon; and many beloved cousins and friends. Kayleigh was preceded in death by great- grandparents, Joseph and Milly Downey, Ann and Irving Frank, Fred and Erma Capretta; Aunt Melissa Frank, and Frances McCalligan "Auntie". Friends will be received from 4:00 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at St. Cyprian's Catholic Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road in Perry.   11. Still can't believe this is real. I don't want to believe it. My thoughts and prayers go out to Mykas family and Kayleigh's family. They will be dearly missed by everyone's lives they have touched. I know I will. I'm here for the families if they need anything!

  12. I met Kayleigh in my statistics class senior year of high school. She was one of the only girls that was friendly and willing to help me out. I'll never forget how big and genuine her smile was. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Obrien family.

  14. So terribly sorry to learn of this tragedy. My mother Rose Olsen knew Kayleigh's grandmother Emily and her grandfather Dominic Capretta when she was a resident at Golden Living Center. She used to say what a loving and wonderful family they had and I believe she met Kayleigh and said what a caring girl she was. My mother has since passed away but I still remember them. All of you are in my prayers.
