Kathryn Ann Martin

Kathryn Ann Martin, 72, of Madison, passed away Tuesday, November, 13, 2018 at The Cleveland Clinic. She was born July 24, 1946 in Mannington, WV to Earnest Parrish and Kathryn Rose (George) Parrish. She married Charles Ralph Martin November 18, 1967. Kathy was a member of Chapel United Methodist Church where she served as Mission Outreach Chairman, pastor-parish committee member and used to teach Sunday school. She belonged to the Ohio Education Association. Kathy graduated from nursing school and worked in hospitals, doctor offices and in home health. She earned her teaching license at Kent State University and taught various health education programs at Auburn Career Center for 29 years. She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and spending time with family. She is survived by her children, Charles Robert (Barbara) Martin, Julie Ann (Frank) Roposh; grandson, Bryce Martin; brother, Thomas Robert (Alma) Parrish; nephew, Michael Robert (Becky) Parrish; niece, Lori Ann (Greg) Hill; and 3 furry feline friends, Squeaker, Stripes, and Cammie. Kathy joins her husband of 49 years, Chuck, and her parents. Friends may call 5pm-7pm, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, OH 44057. Funeral service will be 10am, Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Chapel United Methodist Church, 2019 Hubbard Rd., Madison, OH 44057. Pastor Lenore Robinson will preside. Final resting place will be North Madison Cemetery. Kathy loved her church, and friends may make donations in Kathy’s name to Chapel United Methodist Church at the above address.
