Kathleen Homerick

Kathleen (Kathy) Homerick, age 80, passed away on April 23, 2022 at Rae-Ann Nursing Home in Geneva after a long illness.  She was born on June 24, 1941 to Norman and Gladys Compton, the 1^st of 5 children. Kathy graduated from Perry High school and from Ashland College with a degree in education. She taught health and physical education for a short time prior to the birth of her two children. She then accepted a position as Clerk of Perry Village and served her community for more than 25 years. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a joy to be around. One of her favorite things to do was participate in the many activities at the Perry Senior Center. She will be missed by all. Kathy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Joe; sons, Craig (Yalley) Homerick and Dale (Sheree) Homerick; grandchildren, Heather, Patrick, Kyle, Meredith, Erin, Katelyn and JD Homerick; great-grandson, Levi; sisters, Carole Martin, Jackie Kozlowski and Connie (Roger) Switzer; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy Antonio and brothers-in-law, Ed Antonio, Dave Martin and Joe Kozlowski. A Graveside Service will be held 11 am Friday April 29, 2022 at Perry Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kathy’s name to the Perry Senior Center, 2800 Perry Park Road, Perry, OH  44081.
