Kathleen Freiling

Kathleen Freiling, age 78, of Perry, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Heartland of Mentor. She was born January 5, 1943 in Painesville Ohio, the daughter of Emma M. (Mandel) and Raymond G. Joles. She married John R. Freiling on June 10, 1964 in Mentor. Kathleen was a 1961 graduate of Perry High School. She was a member of Perry UMC. When raising children, she was an active member in the Mother’s Club helping out during sporting events. She enjoyed taking part in the AKC Cleveland Collie Club and also had a great passion for raising horses. Kathleen was a huge Cleveland Indians fan, never missing a game. She is survived by her children, Mark (Kimberly) Freiling, Matthew C. (Lori) Freiling, Maureen C. Freiling, grandchildren, Luke, Kaitlyn, Olivia, Skylar; sister, Janet Joles; brother-in-law, Dan; 12 beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John; parents; father and mother-in-law, Dr. John and Mary Freiling; brothers, Raymond and Timothy; sister-in-law, Joyce; niece Ashley; nephew, Michael. Friends will be received from 11 – 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with brother-in-law, Rev. Dan Jenkins officiating. Final resting place will be at Perry Cemetery.
