I am so sorry to hear that Kathy has passed away. She was in my third grade class at Red Bird. A vibrant and enthusiastic student, she had many friends. I will always remember her as a little ray of sunshine. My sincere condolences to her family.
My heart goes out to Eileen and Carl. Kathy was a smart and wonderful girl – such a sad loss. Please know that you are in my prayers.
I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear this news. I have fond memories of Kathy and my mother and I were even talking about her last week. I had heard several songs on the radio (“Mickey” by Toni Basil, in particular) that made me think about playing with her at your house. In particular, I remember the time she and I made life-sized dolls together, and I remember how smart and fun she was. Please know that you are in my family's prayers and that we will miss her.
Eileen and Carl, I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that her memory gives you comfort. She was a trooper. May God help you through this very difficult time.
Carl and Eileen,
You have my deepest sympathies. Kathy was one of my oldest friends and as I read the same Shel Silverstein books to my kids I tell them of long sunny afternoons in a hammock with her and the fond memories I hold.
You are both in my thoughts, please let me know if you need anything.
Our deepest sympathies to follow Jeff's post. When we left Madison 30 years ago Kathy came by with an entire trip bag for Jeff. Enough to keep him busy for all of the trip to SC. Madison will always be our home and with it memories of your family. Volunteering at Red Bird and most of all the laughter Kathy provided our family. Know you are in our thoughts and memories as you go through this loss.
I am so very sorry to hear about Kathy's passing. As Darci mentioned, I will also remember Kathy and Darci on our living room floor, tracing themselves on bedsheets to make life size dolls. They had so much fun that day. I hope that sweet memories and prayers from family and friends help you through the days ahead
Eileen and Carl, I just noticed today of the passing of Kathy. I fondly remember my time with her, and trying to figure out what was going on with her at the beginning of her illness, and to help start getting her the medical help she needed. I truly did care for her, and even after all these years later, I still always wondered how she was doing. If I had known that she passed away, I would have made every effort to come and say good bye to her. Hope you're both doing well, and again I am so sorry for your loss. She truly will be missed!
