Karen M. Burns

Karen M. Burns, age 63, of Madison passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born February 26, 1951 in Geneva to Jule (Klepfer) & H. Joseph Lander. She married Gary Burns on October 14, 1972. Karen was a 1969 graduate of Madison High School and became an accountant for a private firm. She worked full time to provide a comfortable home, was artistic and known to be a very strong woman. She is survived by her mother, Jule (Klepfer) Lander; sisters, Jan (Dick) McNellie, Debbie (Doug) Ungers, Cheri Izzarelli (George Berry); brothers, Tom (Marcy) Lander, Rick Lander; sisters-in-law, Gretchen Burns and Linda McCullough; 8 nieces & nephews; 9 great-nieces & nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Burns and father, H. Joseph Lander. No visitation or services will be observed.
