Karen L. Estrella

Karen L. Estrella, 70, of Thompson, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family Monday, October 22, 2018. She was born March 23, 1948 in Concord, CA to Henry and Wanda Smith. She married Manuel “Skip” Morrow Estrella, Jr. on October 2, 1966 in Concord, CA. She was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors, gardening and feeding the birds. Her greatest joy was providing the Christmas gathering for her family each year at her home. Karen is survived by a son, Mitchell Estrella; daughter, Stephanie (Doug) French; grandchildren, Megan (Nicholas) Kresila, Phillip (Cassandra) Jensen, Rachele Thomas, and Sharyn Doig; great-grandchildren, Karma Steelman and Ryder and Zander Jensen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel “Skip” Estrella, Jr. in 2016 and her parents; Friends will be received Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio. Funeral service will be 11 AM Monday, October 29, 2018 in the funeral home and burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
