Karen Amelia Johnston

Karen Amelia Johnston, age 77, of Geneva, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at UH Geneva Medical Center. She was born July 6, 1944, the daughter of Emerson and Thelma (Porter) Henslee.   Karen worked at Active Plumbing for many years before going to work alongside her husband, Ralph, at North Ridge Yamaha. She loved being active outdoors, and enjoyed bicycling, playing golf, and spending time with friends and family.   She is survived by her husband, Ralph Johnston, Sr.; sons, Douglas (Doreen) Kern, Jr., Richard (Kristen) Kern; step-son, Ralph Johnston, Jr.; step-daughter, Jill (Joe) Jirousek; grandchildren, Carlin, Megan, Jack, Jordan, Taylor; step-grandchildren, Justine, Jannelle, Carson, Evan; step-great grandchildren, Bentley, Brooklynn; sister, Linda Smith; brother, Alan (Mary) Henslee. She was preceded in death by her parents.   Private family services will be observed.
